When you visit a theme park you expect to be immersed, you expect to be taken somewhere you perhaps have never been before, or pushed past a limit you thought you could never achieve. Year after year, new ride systems are developed that push the boundaries of ride technology to deliver on the latter expectations but now it’s not just theme park rides that get that kind of attention. Restaurants and even smaller quick service food options are expected to do many of the same things attractions might. Indulge our senses, bring wonder to our eyes and even blur the lines between what is theme park attraction and theme park dining. Universal Orlando and its CityWalk has yet another ace to play towards this new commercial reality. It comes in the form of a new steampunk inspired restaurant named, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen. And even though the restaurant is still yet to open, its facade is as giant and promising as its name might imply. But before we leave you to peruse our wonderful photos of Toothsome’s exterior we thought we’d do justice to what’s inside by sharing some of what Universal Orlando shared with the world earlier this year about their food and sweets concept that is quickly turning into reality.
These images are sweet so take our advice and click-through them.
At Toothsome Chocolate Emporium you enter past the revolving doors and suddenly you are in a 19th century-inspired steampunk chocolate factory that promises to be like nothing else you’ve seen in person. You’ll be immersed in a steampunk world from the costumes your servers wear to the engrossing world of bronzed pipes, smoke stacks and almost otherworldly gadgets. The menu itself should satisfy most as it parlays its own twists on your fare of steaks, seafood, pasta, burgers, salads and even all-day brunch. But let’s face it, you might have to start with dessert and don’t worry we don’t judge around here, we’ll probably be doing the exact same thing. With names like the Chocolate X5, Espresso Buzzzz and Chocolate Brownie Bark and S’mores we are already saving up calories for this soon to be foodie delight. The latter dessert concoction features layers of chocolate ice-cream, chocolate sauce, marshmallow cream and graham crackers in case your mouth wasn’t watering already. Toothsome Chocolate Emporium will also feature a retail shop where you’ll be able to purchase your favorite desserts and take them with you after you awe over just how they are made. We know what you are thinking, when does Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen open? By the looks of things, we are going with very, very soon and as always you can follow us right here at Theme Park TV and on our various social media channels for the latest. For now enjoy the feast of photos because they are pretty delicious.
